The Institute of Registered Music Teachers of New Zealand Ako Puoro is seeking a new Teacher Training Course Coordinator (TTCC).
The TTCC works independently and in collaboration with the IRMTNZ Council to deliver our three-tiered Teacher Training Courses and TCANZ-approved TER. The successful applicant will have:
- a music degree or other equivalent qualification
- substantial experience in music education (preferably studio and/or itinerant teaching)
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- proficiency with standard software and online applications such as Google Classroom
- the ability to work independently
- the ability to respond appropriately to a range of personalities and individual needs
- awareness of our responsibilities and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi / The Treaty of Waitangi.
Prior knowledge of IRMTNZ is preferred but not essential.

This is a part-time contract position commencing 1 October 2025 and renewable annually from 1 April 2026.
