PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS
Following a mihi whakatau, dinner and entertainment on the Friday evening, Saturday offers a full day of inspiring PD including
- Synaesthesia: seeing colour in music – a presentation with Dr Michelle Beauchamp and Dr Patrick Shepherd
- Beyond the Notes – a collaborative workshop with Louise Logan
- Flute masterclass with Bridget Douglas
- Beethoven’s Quartets: An Intimate Diary of Brilliance and Introspection with Dr Patrick Shepherd
- “Thawed Music?” — Gardens, Sound, and the Experience of Form with Dr John Powell
- Drumming Circle – an African rhythms workshop with Julian Raphael
- Updates from Council
Light & Shade coincides with the TSB Festival of Lights, New Plymouth’s iconic summer celebration in the stunning Pukekura Park. Our PD Day will conclude with a special concert in the park, in partnership with the New Plymouth District Council.
