Bridging Cultures: Beethoven 250 and Beyond – Accommodation and Meals

Selwyn House, Kings College

King’s College was founded in Remuera in 1896. In 1922 it moved to the current site in Middlemore; the previous site becoming the King’s School. Many of the earliest buildings still remain including the Memorial Chapel which opened in 1925.

We are being accommodated in Selwyn House which was opened in 2004. Most of the twin bed rooms are converted to single occupancy for the Conference, with a bathroom shared by 2 adjoining rooms. There is also a large common room, TV room and some kitchenette areas which will be welcome places for relaxing and catching up with old and new friends.

The boarding houses are a pleasant stroll from the Dining Room, Lecture Theatre and Great Hall where we will be having our main presentations.

The swimming pool and gym facilities are also available for our use.
