Teach & Learn Music In New Zealand
We are the established organisation in New Zealand Aotearoa of private music teachers. Created by the Music Teachers Act 1981, our organization requires personal and professional qualifications for registration. If you want to learn music, find a music teacher in our member list.
We produce a printed Journal Ritmico once a year, in October.
Ritmico celebrated its 100th issue in April 2015.
Our online newsletter Ritmico Online is issued electronically every 6 weeks or so.
Both are sent to all members and subscription holders, Ritmico by post, Ritmico Online by email.
Find out more about who we are, our Membership Categories and our branch network. We have some exceptional distinguished members and we celebrate the contribution they make to our organisation and to music teaching and education. We also have Affiliate Individuals (people who are not music teachers but have an interest in supporting our aims and objectives) and Affiliate Organisations (organisations in the music industry or involved with music education who have an interest in supporting our aims and objectives).
